MEET DR. CHRISTOPHER OMELTSCHENKO
━━
A Cincinnati Dentist Focused on Long-Term Oral Health
━━
Dr. Christopher Omeltschenko has been helping Cincinnati families achieve healthier smiles since 2000. A Cincinnati native and graduate of Walnut Hills High School, he earned both a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Cincinnati before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
Dentistry has been part of Dr. Omeltschenko’s life for as long as he can remember. His father was a dentist, and from an early age he developed an appreciation for both the science and craftsmanship involved in caring for patients. While attending dental school, he discovered a natural aptitude for the technical aspects of dentistry and was selected by faculty members to help provide dental care for The Ohio State University athletic teams. Those hand skills, combined with careful attention to detail, continue to define his practice today.
Looking Beyond Individual Teeth
━━
One of the principles that guides Dr. Omeltschenko’s practice is that most dental problems do not occur in isolation.
A broken tooth may be related to excessive bite forces. Repeated dental work may be linked to underlying wear patterns. Tooth loss can affect the health and stability of the remaining teeth. Gum disease can influence the health of the entire mouth—and even overall health.
Rather than viewing each problem independently, Dr. Omeltschenko evaluates the health of the gums, teeth, and bite together to better understand why dental problems are occurring.
His goal is to identify the underlying cause whenever possible so treatment can provide long-lasting results instead of temporary repairs.
This philosophy—known as Total Oral Health Dentistry—focuses on creating healthy gums, healthy teeth, and a healthy bite that work together for long-term stability, comfort, and function.
A Commitment to Lifelong Learning
━━
Dr. Omeltschenko believes great dentistry begins with great education. Because dentistry is constantly evolving, he is committed to lifelong learning in comprehensive diagnosis, restorative dentistry, dental implants, occlusion, and bite function.
He is a graduate of The Dawson Academy, where he received advanced training in comprehensive dentistry, occlusion, and long-term treatment planning. He has also completed advanced education in dental implant therapy through the Hiossen Implant System Course and the Zest Master’s Full Arch Program.
As part of his commitment to understanding bite-related problems, Dr. Omeltschenko has also completed advanced training in Disclusion Time Reduction (DTR) Therapy. Using computerized T-Scan® technology, he can precisely evaluate how a patient’s teeth come together during biting and chewing. For appropriately selected patients, this technology helps identify excessive biting forces that may contribute to worn teeth, cracked teeth, broken restorations, jaw discomfort, and other bite-related problems.
In addition to formal education, Dr. Omeltschenko is an active participant in Seattle Study Club, a nationally recognized network of dentists and specialists dedicated to comprehensive diagnosis, interdisciplinary treatment planning, and clinical excellence. Through regular collaboration with colleagues from multiple dental specialties, he continues to refine treatment approaches that help patients achieve healthier, more predictable long-term outcomes.
His philosophy is simple:
The more he learns, the better he can care for his patients.

Dentistry Designed to Last
━━
Patients often comment that Dr. Omeltschenko takes the time to explain not only what treatment is recommended, but why it is recommended.
He believes patients deserve honest answers, clear education, and treatment plans tailored to their individual needs and long-term goals.
Whether treatment involves preventive care, periodontal therapy, fillings, same-day crowns, root canal therapy, dental implants, bite therapy, or comprehensive rehabilitation, the objective remains the same:
To create healthy gums, healthy teeth, and a healthy bite that will serve patients well for years to come.
